Last night Bec picked up my HP iPaq 4150 Pocket PC from the post office.
It’s fantastic! It’s in immaculate condition. It looks like it has never been used. It even had the sticker on the front of the LCD screen saying “Please remove this before use”. I don’t know anyone whom actually keeps these damn things, but it was on this one so maybe he didn’t use it that much.
I spent the weekend downloading all the Astraware games I had already had registration codes for the Palm versions. The registration codes work for both the PPC and PalmOS versions, so I installed them all last night and have started registering them.
The thing is DAMN FAST! My Tungsten|T was 114MHz (or was it 144? I’ve seen both reported) but this thing is 400MHz. I nearly need to get it to slow down to play games 
Zuma has never been so smooth! (nor Bejeweled 2 heh).
Today at work we had a team meeting thingo and got chocolate cheesecake for morning tea (YUM! – don’t tell Bec!). I got a shock! I received a “Being your best” award for all the work I did a few weeks ago when I had to stay back at work until about 10:30pm (after starting at 7am). It was certainly an unexpected surprise. I had only just about 15 mins prior been talking to a friend here and he asked if we ever get those kinds of things and I told him “No. We are just contractors so mostly people don’t even acknowledge we exist”.
It’s just a card, but it’s still nice to be noticed. Nobody here knew or cared when I had my birthday (yeah yeah) so this was a nice change.
All this has certainly brightened my otherwise cruddy week.
