Stupid is as stupid does, sir!

The sister of three boys killed in a house fire made hoax triple-0 calls a fortnight before the blaze on the Central Coast, her mother has said.

Four children died in the fire at the rented house at Wyong on June 9. They were three young brothers - 15-month-old Harley, George, 2, and Jethro, 7 - and Madison Pearson, 6, - a friend on a sleepover.

Two of the three survivors - Chantelle, 11, and Kira, 13 - are sisters of the dead boys.

The mother of the three dead boys, Lisa Forde, said her daughter, Kira, blamed herself for her brothers’ deaths. “Kira’s really, really blaming herself because a fortnight before, her and Elise were hoaxing the triple-0 and that’s why they didn’t respond to her call when she rang them the first time,” she told Channel Nine’s A Current Affair last night.

Ms Forde, 36, a mother of seven who has children by four different fathers, broke down when admitting she was supposed to look after the children on the night of the fire. She and her partner, Wayne Shepherd, had said earlier they believed a friend was looking after them.
