So here I am at work. It’s 2am Saturday morning and I’m not terribly happy.

They were supposed to have a server come down from Fortitude Valley. They were going to start packing up the server at 8:30pm and leave probably by about 9pm, but the ‘powers wot be’ decided to do a complete backup of the server at 9pm.

The first idea was to do a backup over the network…… from Fortitude Valley above Brisbane in Queensland… to a server in Glebe, Sydney. *Ahem* emoticon

Once they saw that would take about 5-6 hours or more, the guy whom was doing the transfer went home and picked up a USB external drive and whacked it in the server and started the backup. By the time he was ready to leave it was 12:20am.. 4 hours late.  I left home at 1:00am and got to work about 5 minutes before he arrived. Now we are busy setting up the server and networking it so the PTB can log in and do their funky thang. Not too happy Jan. It’s 2:30am now as I’m typing this when I get a couple minutes to spare.

I hope I can get to sleep in a bit in the morning and the kids aren’t too noisy and wake me up. They were supposed to start their swimming lessons again today but I’m not going to be able to take them as I will be totally stuffed (and hopefully asleep) and Bec isn’t up to the task either, being not 100% well.

Don’t know if I posted already but I’m having an annual leave day on Tuesday as Chris and Jo will be up staying at our place a couple of nights and we might go out for the day and have some fun. I’m sure Sienna will love it too.

I made chocolate muffins this morning. I put them on the bench to cool. In the time it took me to go to the laundry and turn on the washing machine, someone had dragged a chair to the kitchen, got onto the bench and tried to pull each muffin out of the pan, resulting in a huge chunk missing from each until she got one out.
