I found one problem with our media center pc. It has trouble decoding XviD properly. The CPU can’t decompress the data fast enough to watch. It has no problem with the sound as it continues flawlessly but the images quickly become out of sync with the sound and eventually stops. Then it catches up and they are both in sync for another minute or so. It is only a Celeron 433 after all, so I should not expect too much. I might have to upgrade it if I want to watch any XviD stuff on there. The TV software is crashing from time to time as well and has to be started 4-5 times before it actually works properly.
Not much news happening tho. Just the usual stuff.
Blake’s school has started swimming lessons so we have to drop his Saturday lessons as we can’t afford both. The school lessons are also about a third the cost of the swimming school charges and is mandatory so we can’t pick and choose. At least he will have his classmates and other friends to swim with.
