Since there’s no IMming from work any more, I’ve installed the Miranda ICQ Client. I originally tried Trillian, but they want me to pay for Jabber support. JABBER! The most openly free protocol in the whole damn world probably and they want me to pay for that? Sheesh! Make me pay for AIM or something cos I don’t use it
hehe
Anyways. I installed it and a whole heap of plugins and a theme and skin and it’s looking pretty darn sexy.

Of course I’ve blurred my contacts’ details but you get the gist.
It supports multiple protocols. I’ve got ICQ, YIM, Jabber and MSN enabled. You can even install your own icon sets. I’ve chosen some rather nice-looking ones for my Miranda.
It doesn’t support the funkier functions of MSN so no winks, no emoticons, no sounds. I hope they write a plugin for them since Trillian supports a lot of that. I guess we just need to wait. It’s gotta happen. No way am I installing MSN itself
heh
The rellos should be here in a couple of hours. Bec’s sister and her beau were still in bed when her mum rang earlier. The benefit of not having kids I think heh. We (and when I say ‘we’ I of course mean ‘Bec’) have been cleaning the house all morning. It looks spotless. I did do some stuff tho. Just not as much as she did hehe
Sienna and Blake are outside playing in the back yard.
I’ve been taking a bit of a break from Second Life lately. Just for something different. I don’t want to play it to death so I end up getting sick of it and I have so many other things to do besides.
I think we’ve just about gotten over the flu which is a good thing. I’m so sick of the damn thing.
Work sent me up to Brizzie last week for two days to help out since there wasn’t much work to do at the usual place. There wasn’t much work to do up there either so instead of being up there on Monday I’m back at where I normally work. Go figure!
