I finally got my Miro (aka Pinnacle) PCTV card going on my Mandrivalinux 2006 server.
I ran the Mandrivalinux Configure application for TV Cards. I had to select "Miro" as the brand and "Termic 4002 (PAL)" as the Tuner card. Once that was done, it could select all the Australian channels fine.
I tuned in a bunch of channels. It could not find SBS as that channel doesn’t come through clearly where we live.. so no Iron Chef for now.
I still have to figure out which Channel 9 is Nine and which is WIN; which 10 is Ten and which is NRTV. I can probably do that better when the news is on at 6pm tonight.
At least we have ABC TV which has the kids programs. Us adults don’t normally watch any TV besides Iron Chef so no real loss there.
It’s great to have a faster server and two PCs merged into one so that we don’t use up so much electricity.
