Today I bought a sixpack of a new beer I’ve never had before.

It’s called Beez Neez.

Once upon a time in a small brewery in Queensland a couple of brewers put their heads together and decided they would like to try their hand at brewing a honey beer. Why? Who knows…

By using honey in the brew they knew this beer would taste like no other available in a land already blessed with plenty of fantastic beers.

After several attempts, they stumbled on a recipe that produced a light refreshing beer with a lifted honey aroma and a hint of honey on the palate that still maintained a refreshing, crisp finish.

Content with their efforts they thought they were the “cats whiskers”!

But this great beer did not have a name so without much thought (they were brewers after-all) they came up with the witty name of Beez Neez (get it ?)

Now this beer had a name, it was off to market to see what the discerning beer drinkers of Australia thought of the brew. Well the response was positive, so much so that our good brewers thought they shouldn’t let too many people try it, otherwise they would have to work too hard to keep up with demand.

Alas, word quickly spread about this fine beer and somehow a six pack found its way into the hands of the nation’s learned beer judges who declared this rare beer was the ducks nuts !

Demand continued to grow for this mysterious brew and the hard working brewers of Matilda Bay decided to offer their help for a beer now widely considered to be the dogs bollocks !

So Matilda Bay is now ready to brew enough of this honey laced beer so that people all across this great land can (with a little effort) discover the qualities of something that truly is the Beez Neez.

On their website, you can download the Beez Neez screensaver and Windows wallpaper! Sweet!

Oh yeah.. tastes quite good too. Not a strong bitter flavour. I guess the honey cancels that a bit. Altho the sixpack was about $15 iirc.

    Trivia note:

Matilda Bay Brewing is a West Australian company. Just goes to show that West Aussies make the best beer. Second to the South Australians who brew Coopers “Nector of the Gods”
