Rebecca and Sienna moved out today so it’s just me and the cat left.
Very quiet around here…
Yesterday Rebecca headed north to sign the lease and pay the bond + rent. While she and Sienna were gone I got busy and cleaned out a cupboard in the kitchen. I also finally got busy on the side gate door. It wasn’t locking properly unless you put all your weight on the door as the door latch and hole didn’t line up. I got out the drill and now they line up properly and the door locks.
I got my new washing machine too. They said it would be delivered between 1pm and 3pm (I rang at 9am to confirm as they requested). It arrived at 3:42pm. 
Oh well. At least I’ve got it now.
Rebecca’s removalists arrived at 7:30am this morning and loaded up the truck and took all her stuff up to her new unit. We followed them in our cars to take up some more stuff as well. We got the place set up, got the gas turned on and the gas to the water heater (after some mucking around). Rebecca bought some groceries and other required items (kettle, toaster etc). There’s an Aldi shop in the suburb where they live so she got a lot of stuff cheap from there.
I stayed around until after 5pm and drove back home. I’ve been vacuuming the place and cleaning up.
