Cut a very long and thin rectangle out of a glass table top. The two sides have to be perfectly parallel, and the rectangle has to come from one edge of the table, all the way into the centre somewhere. When glass is cut perfectly, the human eye can’t tell the difference between two pieces of glass put together, and a single piece of glass. When you want to push something through the table, you just have to slide the glass out of the way to expose the hole, but make sure nobody sees you sliding the table. However if you look closely enough, in fact you can see him sliding the table.
