Yesterday I received a phonecall that I’d been successful in my application for a new home to rent. :) :) :D :D :) :)

If you click on the PHOTO ALBUM link in the left sidebar you can see some photos of it. It’s 4 bedrooms, air conditioning, master has ensuite, small back yard, remote controlled double garage doors, a couple of other rooms. One of the other rooms is for lounge and the other for a dining room, although both are carpeted. I think I might make the dining room the lounge room though since it’s up the end of the house next to the air conditioning and more time would be spent in the lounge than the dining room. I might get a small table and a couple of chairs and put them near the kitchen for eating off.  The new place is not far from where Bec’s mum and dad live, which is also near Sienna’s new kindy which she starts this Monday.  Since Bec is looking after her nan all the time now she will soon be moving to near that area as well. They even said I can bring the cat along, so we’re happy we won’t have to dump him back at the animal shelter. I will keep him locked up indoors most days .. at least until he gets used to the new place. I think I’ll keep his kitty litter tray and food in the garage where it won’t matter if it smells a bit. I will at some stage get a cat basket for him to sleep in. After a while I can let him out. The neighbourhood is surrounded by trees and bush so he’ll have fun running around. I’m pretty sure there’ll be other neighbourhood cats around to play with. I know for sure there’s a "rat" dog next door (one of those small yappy ones) as it was going off when I was there the other day checking out the place again and taking some photos for the photo album. At least all the bedrooms are on the opposite end of the house to the dog’s home! heh.

I picked up Sienna a few times when I was out home hunting. On Thursday, we popped into her new kindy and had a look around for an hour or so. Sienna’s cousin also goes there so she came over from the big kids room and played with her and showed her around. Jordan also read a couple of books to Sienna and showed her some wooden puzzles and how to solve them. They had a fun time together and afterward the teacher got them to put on some suntan lotion and they all went outside and ran around for a while. I think she liked the school and playing with her cousin though cos I had to drag her away kicking and screaming ;)

This morning I popped back up to the town where I’ll be living and applied for a PO Box and mail redirection. Sienna and I stayed around and looked at the shops in the shopping centre where the Post Office is. We stopped at the pet store and some girls working there had a couple of puppies out for the kids to look at and hold. Sienna patted one a couple of times but was more interested in the kittens nearby in their cage. A guy was sliding his finger back and forth across the glass in front of their cage and the kittens were chasing it. Sienna was cracking up, laughing so hard. After the guy left she had a go and the kittens chased her fingers on the glass. She was really excited about that. We drove around and checked out the area so I could see what’s around. I popped back past my new home and then headed back out again. We passed a park so I stopped and we played on the slippery dip and swings and bouncy animal rides. Sienna loved that. We were there about half an hour or more. After that, we filled up on petrol and headed home.

The rest of the afternoon has been a time of watching some TV and playing games. Hopefully she will be worn out. She hasn’t had a sleep today. Sienna’s just finished some "Pasta More" and I will take her for a bath to clean her up.

Tomorrow we’ll head to the shop so I can get a new belt to wear this week at work. I bought a new one recently but it’s broken so I’ll have to get another. I will have to ask for Friday off as well since that’s when I’ll be signing the lease and stuff. Then Saturday morning is moving day! WOOHOOOOOOooooooo!!!!!
