I’m still trying to figure the best way to stream video to my LCD TV.
Options:
- A/V Sender / Receiver connected to my server in another room (recently =
heard from a friend they are crap)
- Some sort of micro PC (unfortunately not common so cost upwards of =
$1,000)
- old laptop
Does anyone have any other good ideas?

Hook it up to an old VCR. They have a built in tuner so you can record programs without needing the TV tuner…:-). Maybe too obvious…lol.

Err… and totally irrelevant.
What I want to do is stream video files .mov, .avi, DivX and XviD from my server via WiFi to the lounge room TV. Old VCRs do not stream video via WiFi nor play back DivX or other computer encoded video files.
But thanks for answering anyway
