Wherever We Go - Newsboys

Wherever we go the bluebirds sing
And flowers bloom and the grass gets green
It’s a curious thing, but it’s just our thing
Wherever we go the bees behave
In the treetops squirrels smile and wave
It’s a curious thing, and it’s humbling

Where we go, little glow worms glow
Little roadrunners run ahead
Gonna tell their friends, little mice little men
Get them all excited, all invited

Hands up, holler back here
Let’s throw this party in gear
We brought the welcome mat.
Wherever we go, that’s where the party’s at
Hands up, holler back now
We don’t claim any know how
We’ve given God all that
Wherever we go, that’s where the party’s at

Wherever we go the dumb get wise
And the crime rates drop and the markets rise
It’s a curious thing, but it’s just our thing
Bullies make nice, crooks repent
And the Ozone layer shows improvement
It’s a curious thing, and it’s humbling

Where we’re led, all the livin’ dead
Want to leave their zombie mob
It’s a touching scene where they all come clean
God help us, we just love our job.

Hands up, holler back here
Let’s throw this party in gear
We brought the welcome mat.
Wherever we go, that’s where the party’s at
Hands up, holler back now
We don’t claim any know how
We’ve given God all that
Wherever we go, that’s where the party’s at

High, throw your hands up, throw your hands up high
High, throw your hands up, throw your hands up high

This is the message we spread
Bringing life to the dead
This is the gospel expo
Follows wherever we go
This is the message we spread
Bringing life to the dead
This is the good news expo
Follows wherever we go

Hands up, holler back here
Let’s throw this party in gear
We brought the welcome mat
Wherever we go, that’s where the party’s at
Hands up, holler back now
We don’t claim any know how
We’ve given God all that
Wherever we go, that’s where the party’s at

“I’m Not Missing You” - Stacie Orrico

Oh, Oh
Im not missing you
Been through just about everything that I could go through
When it comes to relationships
Dont know what I was missing or why I aint listen
When I told myself that was it
Now here I go, hurt again
Cause of my curiousity
Now that its over
What else could it be he just had to cheat

I made a promise never to settle
Why didnt I keep it?
Cause I hated the heartbreak
Crying and cheating, the fooling around

[Chorus]
(But) Im not missing you
Im not going through the motions
Waiting and hoping you call me
Im not missing you
You might have had me open
But I must be going because
I got life to do
I know Im usually hanging on
I used to hate to see you gone
But this time its different
I dont even feel the distance
Im not missing
Im not missing you

Its a shame in a way cause
I feel that I may not ever find the right one for me
Did I leave him, is he right in front of my face oh
Will my true love ever be?
Why would I go on a search again
When I know what the end will be
What good is love when it keeps on hurting me?

I made a promise never to settle
Why didnt I keep it?
Cause I hated the heartbreak
Crying and cheating, the fooling around

[Chorus x2]

No I cant be with you
Cause I’m scared felt like I was falling when you left me
I cant keep going through life
Unaware of what I missed
And the person I could be
Love’s good when its right
And when it’s left in your memory
All the times I let you down
I guess love will be nice for someone elses life

[Chorus]

Im not going through the motions
Waiting and hoping you call me
You might have had me open
But I must be going because
I know Im usually hanging on
I used to hate to see you gone
Oh different, feel the distance
Im not missing
Im not missing you

A fantastic day! Wine and Texas Hold’em merchandise!

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

First, I get a bottle of wine from someone for fixing their PC. A nice 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon!!

I played poker tonight as usual and since it was not a tournament night (the next tournament starts Sunday night) not many people turned up.  Since not many people turned up there was much more merchandise to go around.

KA-CHINGGGGG!!

Here is what I got tonight:

Texas Hold'em Poker merchandise.

VB Tshirt. VB keyring. Woodstock Kentucky Bourbon Limited Edition cap.

Aristocrat Money Train stubby holder.

Sweeeeeeeeet!

At first we just had ’stuff around’ games of Texas Hold’em Poker (No limit). If you got out, you just got another two stacks of chips and away you went again.

After the break, we packed up all the $25 and $100 chips and had stacks of $1,000 chips (16 each). A shame cos I was chip leader with one other guy. We were doing well but had to start from scratch again. So, since there were only two tables playing we soon had people out and merged into one table. I made it to the last 6 players.

Unfortunately, I went “All In” (bet all my chips) on a pair of wired 9’s (two nines) and another guy had two tens!! On the flop I got another 9 (last flop card) so I had trips (three nines) and was cheering loudly. Then came the turn.. nothing for anyone.. then the river.. … … A F*&KING TEN!!!!! So he had 10 trips and I had 9 trips and he won the rest of my money (only about $6,000 anyway). Ah well. I stayed around and watched the rest of the game until one person had all the chips then headed home. A real fun time out and no pressure.. just a bunch of friendly people having a great night out!

Sunday night starts the tournament over again so I expect we will be back up to 70-80 players or so, which is about 7-8 tables playing (ten a table).

Barnyard

Barnyard movie

Tonight I logged onto the Reading Cinemas website and saw that in ten minutes Barnyard would be on at the movies. I quickly closed all the windows in the house and got Sienna and I ready and we ran out the door. We got there with plenty of time due to advertisements and grabbed a large popcorn, large Solo drink and some Natural snake lollies.

We got our seat and watched the show. Sienna really loved it. She was laughing through most of the show and even stayed awake for the whole thing. It started at 6:30pm and went until about 8pm. She did have a sleep earlier in the day, though which probably helped.  We had a great time watching the silly cows standing up and doing silly things. She didn’t even seem to mind when the nasty coyotes did their thing (I won’t give it away). It was a bit scary then sad, but she still enjoyed the show. I guess if we all lived through Bambi then it’s not so bad. Kids these days are more desensitized aren’t they? ;)

That was the first time I’ve taken Sienna to a cinema and she had a really good time. Now I know I can take her to them from time to time :)

A few days ago on Foxtel they had a Star Wars marathon so I’ve taped
Episodes 1 - 6 and going to watch them all one at a time, in order.

Since I’m not one of those sad geeks that have watched Star Wars daily
since the 70s, it’s relatively fresh to me and I hope watching it in
this order will let me get the full story from go to woah :)

40 mins left on Episode 1. Don’t think I’ll see the end tonight, though.
I should be off doing my exercises and maybe some meditation.

DOA - Dead on Arrival

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

What a damn good movie. Some really good martial arts. Some babes fighting. Some panty shots. Some titty shots. Naked Holly Valance.  And I knew Jaime Pressly would scrub up nice outside of “My Name is Earl”.

The story was great and the fighting magnificent. I gotta get this when it comes out on DVD.

They shoulda had the fight with the girls and the warriors.

Helena was okay but I go for Holly all the way. She’s yum and especially in this movie ;)

Four starts outta Five. Maybe an extra half star for the half naked girls :D

Green Wing Day

Monday, September 18th, 2006

Green Wing is on TV again, if you didn’t guess by now ;)

My Poker didn’t go as well the last couple of times. I mean last night it went OK but not as good as it could have. My brain was in PARK. Don’t ask me which park it was in.. I bet a couple times when I thought I had a good hand when I in fact had nothing at all. Missed by one card. At least I made it through the break which was better than the Thursday before. This time I had $1000 through the break.

Tonight I did better at Ten Pin Bowling than last week. I got there earlier and got some practice and tips, so that was quite good. I might go an extra night a week as I can pay $3.95 per game instead of the usual. Maybe some Tuesdays if there’s nothing at all on at the movies. Still gets me a night out.

Had a great weekend with Sienna. We just took it easy as we both weren’t 100% Good to see her as always tho. Got a parent/teacher night on this Thursday night. I’ll see how she’s been doing at kindy.

I bought a couple of books today from Borders bookshop.

I’ve just about finished reading Beginners Guide to Reality by Jim Baggott.
