I downloaded UltraVnc: Remote Desktop Support Software, Remote Support tool and set up the server for my XP box then installed .NET VNC Viewer on my pocketpc. Things are so much better now.
The UltraVNC server can resize the screen so I cut it down by half and went into 800×600 mode. It’s not great on my pocketpc but much better than Terminal Services.

Yes, VNC rocks. And it exists on multiple operating systems and desktop environments, so now you can remote control KDE as well.
