I think Madagascar is the funniest 3d generated movie I’ve seen in a long time. At this point, I’d even rate it over Shrek, Cars & Toy Story(s).
I really like Sacha Cohen (Ali ‘G)’s lemur doing a Robin Williams impression throughout the show. I really hope he returns in Madagascar 2 which is currently in production.
The story is funny. The characters are very well done - although I’m sure the giraffe could have been left out and the monkeys given a lot more screeen time. Actually, the monkeys and the penguins. Those guys are hilarious!!!
I can’t wait for the sequel. Apparently it’s gonna be a franchise like Shrek was. Here’s hoping!
They ran Madagascar on Foxtel and I recorded it last night.. but I missed the start so deleted that and re-recorded it this morning. So far, I’ve already watched it three times and there’s gonna be more than that. It’s a real ‘feel good’ cheering you up movie. If you haven’t seen it.. go check it out now!
