I only just got there on time and sat down at the last available seat. The first hand of the night and I got a Full House on the ‘turn’ card. I had a Queen and a Nine and the community cards contained Q Q A A so others stayed in the game hoping to win with a high card. My Q matched up to make it a Full House and I got a nice starting pot for the night.
I made the final table and sat down with the other nine players left. At one point I had gone All-In and lost so I stood up and started to walk away when everyone yells out “Hey! You won the side pot of $6,000! You are still in!”. I’m like “Oh .. yeah.. right.. cool” lol 
So I sat back down again and kept playing. Another one got out (the guy to my right) so we had a wild card draw and he sat next to me.
Later on, I went All-In again and thought I had won. In fact, others thought I had too, but the guy to my left (the last one left to play his cards) had JUST beaten me. Damn! So I was out. One of the guys said it was almost a ‘bad beat‘. A similar thing had happened earlier on my first table where a guy played all the way to the river card on cards that were crap.. only to win on the river and beat a guy who had gone All-In. The guy who lost was very cranky to say the least.
At one stage I had almost a straight with the flop, but needed a King. Thinking the chances of a King on the Turn or River cards were too remote, I folded (for only $100 more!) and, of course, a King comes on the River.
