I knocked off halfway through Friday and met up with a friend from the VZ Emu mailing list (link from VZ-ALiVE if you want to see the list). We had lunch at Sizzler and had a great chat about retro z80 emulators and games, etc. Intertek was the guy who wrote the first VZ200/VZ300 emulator for the PC. He told me about future plans for his emulator “VZ’Em” and his progress with the PocketPC version “PocketVZ”. After lunch I headed for the train and went home again and watched some stuff on Foxtel with Striker (aka StrikeL).
Striker and I picked up Sienna Friday afternoon and brought her home. Saturday morning we went to swimming lessons and she had a fabulous time, as usual. We came home and had a shower and watched a little TV then all three of us went shopping. We played at home with Sienna for the afternoon and evening, giving her shoulder rides and blowing huge bubbles for her to chase around.
Sunday morning we went to the local computer markets and I was tempted to buy a Toshiba Libretto:

Type: Ultraportable, Business
Operating System: MS Windows XP Home
Processor Name: Intel Pentium M 753
Processor Speed: 1.2 GHz
RAM: 512 MB
Weight: 2.1 lb
Screen Size: 7.2 inches
Graphics Card: Intel 82855 GME
Storage Capacity: 60 GB
Primary Optical Drive: External
A laptop lady was selling it for $1,350. I’d like to sell my desktop & server and just use this as my main PC. Plug in a standard keyboard and monitor at home but use this on the train & buses, etc while out. I could even plug in a ‘3′ 3G Netconnect card for broadband. So droolworthy! *Sigh* It even came with a DVD Burner. Maybe I should go back next month and see if she still has it then buy it instead of Vista that I’ve been so looking forward to. I don’t need a superpower PC as I don’t play that many games. The benefits of being so portable would be very cool and handy, indeed. It’d also chew up so much less power.
After that we went to other markets to catch up with Striker’s dad. We had some Dutch mini pancakes (Poffertjes). They were delicious. Sienna wouldn’t eat them since she hadn’t seen them before but was more excited by the jumping castle which had, unfortunately, already been packed away while we were eating since we arrived when the markets were closing.
We went back home and Sienna had a nap while we watched some more Foxtel and chilled. Once she had woken up, I took her to her other home and came back to make steak, chops and coleslaw for dinner. We watched some XFiles I had taped.
