Now why would I want another phone since I only just got one last year?

1. It has HSDPA. This is good for a couple reasons. First, Three will give me my broadband half price. At the moment my charges are $69pm for 2Gb. With this phone (or any Xseries phone) it’s $40pm. HSDPA is a ton faster than the current 3G speeds.
2. It has a 5mp camera with video in VGA (640×480) size. My current phone has video at a tiny size. The main reason I want a good video is to film Sienna doing things so I can make a SVCD to send to relatives. My K800i has video at QCIF resolution (176×144). This is waaayyy too tiny.
3. The stuff built into the 3 plans for this phone are really cool. Always on MSN and YIM and other stuff.

If you’re carrying a Motorola mobile phone the chances are you are under 24 and fashion conscious.

But if you’ve got a Nokia in your pocket (or briefcase), it’s a fair bet you might be a family-minded, middle-aged manager.

Sony Ericsson handsets are favoured by ambitious young men trying to make their mark; LGs are tops with mums; while Samsungs are wielded by young women focused on their career, a study of mobile phone usage shows.

What your mobile phone says about you:

I’m a young go-getter buy may soon be becoming a family-minded guy! hehe

The other night I woke up at 5am freezing my brass monkeys off! I actually dreamt my legs were cold and woke up to find it was true.

I got up and put on winter PJs and went back to bed. Last night before bed I put my thick quilt back on the bed so I could just pull it over when the temp dropped.

Had a night out again last night at a sit-down Comedy show. The comedians were not that great.. some boring.. others made no sense at all.. but it was still good to get out of the house. I really wanted to get out anyway and if it wasn’t for that I’d have gone to see HOT FUZZ. If I get time while it’s still playing, I’ll go see it. Otherwise, it’ll be on Foxtel Box Office in a few months, no doubt, and I can watch it for like five buckaroos!

Been playing with a music composition program called “Reaper”. It’s a “Digital Audio Workstation” like Steinberg’s Cubase, but free to try out (Non-expiring shareware) and only US$40 if you decide to keep it. Sweet! I’m busy reading my Computer Music magazine I bought at Sydney airport the other weekend. Can’t believe it’s nearly 1.5 weeks since I was down there. Anyways, I have another issue somewhere in my pantry where I throw everything I don’t want to pack away properly (they are in plastic shopping bags) and might get it out now I’m starting to understand how things work. Gonna take a LONG time to get used to using it though, especially since I have no training or education in music writing/production but might provide a nice distraction for a while. Let’s see how long this ‘fad’ of mine lasts hey ;) — Oh I still have plans to get back to poker.. it’s just that I have to have the energy after a day out at work and the time when I’m not out doing other things like watching comedy shows or spending time with Sienna.

Still waiting for my CDs from The Tenth Stage, though. *Fingers Crossed* I get them this week and can pick them up Saturday morning from my PO Box.

When I went to see Tycho live on Wednesday, 14th March I filmed a couple of minutes of Tycho Brahe on my K800i mobile phone. The resolution is small and if you don’t center the video it will look grainy. The place wasn’t well-lit enough for video, but you can get the idea anyway…

Got up early this morning and took Sienna to swimming. She had a fun time and they ended the lesson riding on a pool noodle.
We grabbed the obligatory $1.50 sausage sandwich on the way out and headed home for a shower.

Just before lunch time, the photographer from the Ipswich News arrived and took our photo out the front by the mailbox. We both thought a photo outside would look better but he was concerned at the brightness of the sun, being a very sunny day. However, just before we went outside some clouds went over the sun and it darkened the scene enough to get some photos. I picked up Sienna and we stood by the mailbox while he took several photos. It should be in this week’s newspaper.

I joined up to WhereILive some time ago and the website is owned by the newspaper. They saw my posts about moving to the area some time recently and wanted an interview since they were doing a story on people new to the area. I talked to a reporter on the phone for about 20 minutes the other day and they told me about sending out a photographer to get my photo for the story. Sweet!

We went shopping after that. I had to get a present for dad and also for two kids whom are having a party next Saturday which I’m taking Sienna to. Her mum already bought her some fairy wings and dress to go to the party in since it’s a dress-up one. Should be fun for her.

I also got some groceries. I bought the presents from the local Crazy Clarks discount store. I noticed while I was there they had very cheap groceries, so bought most of my bathroom stuff and laundry stuff while there. Probably saved $20-$30, which is great!

We also went into Coles to get some normal foodstuffs. I picked up a chicken and some ham and pineapple and cheese to make a pizza on lebanese bread. It was yum but got all over Sienna’s dress, of course.

I got all my washing done as well this morning and I think it must have dried in about 5 minutes, but I’m waiting for sunset before going out and risking sunburn while removing my clothes from the line. And to think a week ago I was in Sydney where it’s 20 degrees Celcius and raining!!!

We watched some episodes of Futurama. I put on the audio commentary so get to hear behind the scenes stuff and Sienna watches the show, so it’s win-win.

I started feeling a bit weary and noticed it was already 4pm! Way past Sienna’s usual nap time. I got her to lay down on the bed and also fell asleep for about half an hour. She’s still in there, sleeping.

If it’s not too hot later we might go to the park for a bit, but if we miss out today there’s always tomorrow.

Hey y’all.

Yes, tis my Bday. 36 today HOORAY!

Just old bugger now, not so much cranky ;)

Tonight, I’ve busied myself creating a new Wikipedia article for the Melbourne band “The Tenth Stage“.

I really love their music and listen to it daily. They seem like really great guys and are sending me a signed CD for my above efforts. I was going to buy it from their eBay page, but woooo! I’m getting it sent to me straight from the band and signed! Can’t be happier! They are currently my favourite band!

Excitement++
