Just as “Head like a hole” plays on my iTunes I read this:

Releasing Nine Inch Nail material online is an avenue the industrial rock band has been familiar with some time. Many tracks are readily available one the NIN.com website, downloadable via the traditional client/server method. However in a brief announcement made yesterday, a surprising element appeared. Not that new material was available for download, but that it was available via the BitTorrent protocol. Even more surprisingly, the torrents were uploaded to The Pirate Bay.

The Pirate Bay has been a quandary for the entertainment industry, as it has defiantly remained one of the largest - if not most popular - BitTorrent trackers/indexers. Despite a brief shut down in May of 2006, The Pirate Bay continues to remain a symbol of the P2P and BitTorrent community.

Although it has earned the scorn of the US entertainment industry, it appears that not all entertainers feel hostile towards the Swedish BitTorrent site - particularly Trent Reznor. Three audio tracks are currently being indexed by The Pirate Bay, “Capital G”, “My Violent Heart”, and “Me, I’m Not.” This is an interesting move by NIN, and one that lends a hand of legitimacy to The Pirate Bay - as it shows that entertainers realize the importance of reaching out to their target audience.

Story from Slyck news. What are you waiting for? Torrent it, dammit!!

Hey gang!

Someone removed me from their links list, so if you have a blog, why not register it with BlogShares and get the value of my blog up in price ;)

I’ve been working on a new website for my friend-from-school’s mum and her partner. It’s called “TJs Boots N Clobber“.  Check out the link in the sidebar, but I’m going to link it here as well for you RSS subscribers to save you having to go all the way to my main blog page to find a link ;)

It’s reasonably plain just now but I have plans to make it more fancier in the future.  Let me know what you think, with a comment below.  It will be running a Zen Cart to allow you to purchase stuff via PayPal in the future.

Today I found out my divorce papers officially have come through, so I guess that makes me a single guy again.

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life.

Once Sienna woke up we left to find somewhere to eat. We drove to Noosa Heads and popped into The Reef.  It’s like an RSL club.  I ordered ribs for myself and Sienna. Somehow that got translated into two lots of ribs. Since they only had the choice of 1/2 kilo of ribs or 1kg of ribs I told them I didn’t think Sienna would eat half a kilo of texan ribs.  They quickly cancelled the order and refunded me $19.  I had my ribs which came with salad and fries. Why would they bother giving a guy salad? It’s not like I had a gf/wife to nag me to eat it ;)

Sienna was transfixed by the flashy flashy lights in the Pokies room and so were many other kids.  Sienna didn’t end up eating any of the ribs at all, but finished off a few pieces of a pizza type thing with garlic and cheese on it.  She ended up being a bit sick that night so I can see why.

Once we had finished there, we started heading home but Sienna noticed the kids room so we popped in there and she played Spyro the Dragon on a PS2 and we watched the end of Toy Story 2 on the TV, then someone came in and put on All Dogs go to Heaven (ack! I would have preferred TS2 put back on).  We stayed a while and she played with the kids then we headed home to bed.

This morning I eventually dragged myself out of bed just after 8am. What a life! We packed everything up and dropped the key off at the reception and headed back to Noosa Heads to find breakfast.  We found a nice little cafe called Sierra and were served by a very friendly Islander girl. It looked like the only place open and so had lots of customers.  Yet they still served us quickly and the bacon & eggs breakfast was about $4 cheaper than at CJ’s the day before.  I was very impressed.  Sienna had cocopops (at $5 for the bowl!) but didn’t eat much of it, as usual preferring to munch on bits of my bacon and eggs.

We left there and headed up to a lookout called Laguna.  We had a quick look.. not much to look at, but a few other people checking it out.. then headed to Sunshine Beach where we changed into our swimmers.. well I did, but Sienna had not packed her swimmers when I gave them to her before we left so went in her undies and tshirt.  We walked down to the beach and Sienna ran into the water.  She had a few near-drownings (well.. big waves washing her off her feet and daddy catching her and bringing her head up before she swallowed too much water heh) and even played in the sand with a baby about 9 months old or so.  We stayed for about an hour then walked back up and had a shower at the top of the steps and hopped back in the car.  I got changed inside a towel and got Sienna into some warm clothes (dressed her first as she was a bit cold).

We drove to Tewantin and asked at the Information Centre if they still had the House of Bottles or House of Shells (I was visiting all the places my dad took me about 28 years ago).  The House of Shells was closed today and they didn’t say anything about the bottles, but Sienna had seen all the boats at the marina where the Info Centre was and wanted to go on one.  Unfortunately, there were none suitable but I asked if they had a place to go on a paddle boat.  She did know one and we drove off to the U Boat rental place.  We paid $18 (which was the minimum — for one hour) and jumped in a boat.. Sienna with a lifejacket on.  She did most of the steering and so we went round and round and back and forth until she gave up and wanted to just paddle her hands in the water over the side.  I accidentally (ahem) paddled past a topless sunbather and a couple of other bikini-sunbathers a few times and back to shore.

We jumped back in the car and headed for a petrol station where I pumped up the car tyres for the long trip and had a ‘pit stop’ break. I bought some small ice creams (Sienna had a small tub and I had a tropical fruit ice thingo) and jumped in the car again at 1:40pm.  After about 20 mins or so Sienna fell asleep  and it was a quiet drive back home again.  We only had one slow down after the Gateway toll booths and got home about 3:40pm.. a nice drive I hardly noticed.  Once I closed the garage door Sienna woke up and has been awake ever since.

Even though we had lots of sunscreen on, I still got a nice tan.. well my face and neck where I had no Tshirt.  You can definitely see my tan-line heh.  I poured a bath and we hopped in to clean off all the sand.  We had a shampoo as well.  Since then, we’ve had hotdogs for dinner.. well Sienna ate the meat out of the middle and a little bit of the bread.. and I watched an episode of Star Trek: Voyager.  Unfortunately, for some reason my Foxtel IQ box forgot to tape anything yesterday and today I had to set up the XFiles to tape again as it had somehow dropped off my “To Tape” list.  This happens from time to time and is really annoying as you have to try and remember all the shows you were taping regularly to set them up again.  Stupid box.  I missed an episode of Scrubs and the XFiles last night. Dang it!  Scrubs was still on the list to tape tonight so I don’t know why it didn’t tape last night. *Sigh*

At the moment, Sienna is just watching a recording of The Little Einsteins tv show. It’s a really good show which teaches kids about music and all the terminology.  Sienna loves it.

We left around 9.40am yesterday morning and drove to Aussie World. We arrived about 11.15am and got our tickets.
We went on some merry go round rides. We tried the ferris wheel but it was too tame for Sienna.
When it was nearly 12pm we had lunch. I had a works burger with chips and a chocolate milkshake. Sienna had a chicken and cheese sandwich.
We went on a whizzing spinning ride and Sienna loved it. It didnt bother me apart from just having had lunch so it was a bit mixed up and unsettled. We went on a big spinning swing which rose something like 20 feet in the air. Sienna loved it. She really is a daredevil. We went on the whizzing ride again then Sienna went on a few more merry go round rides and we jumped in the car.
We drove up to near Noosa Heads and stopped at the first petrol station to fill up. We only just made it on the last fumes.
Next I looked on the map for the place we were to stay at. It was on the opposite side of the roundabout from the petrol station. We booked into our room and Sienna went to sleep for a couple of hours.
When she awoke we went out to find food. We popped into CJ’s on the River.
I had Surf and Turf. They actually gave me a bowl with about 10 prawns in garlic and cream sauce. Yum.
Sienna had chicken nuggets and chips. They have her pencils and paper to draw with while we waited for food. Unfortunately for us the keyboard player had one song left to sing and left shortly after we arrived.
We finished up and headed back to our room and had a spa bath. Very nice. We watched a show on crocodiler on Animal Planet and went to bed.
This morning we got up and headed out to find breakfast. We stopped at the first place we found open which was the same place we were at last night. I had bacon and eggs and a mocha coffee while Sienna nibbled at some raisin toast.
We left and drove to the Big Pineapple. Sienna loved it and lest talking about going up into the pineapple which we did. We also rode on a mini train and stopped to feed the animals. They had goats, sheep, a donkey, dingoes, pigs, llamas, kangaroos and a deer. Sienna hand fed many animals and even a wallaby. We caught the train back up and waited for the next train. Sienna played with some other kids then we jumped on the train and had some macadamia nuts. When the train got back we ordered a fruit salad parfait. It had macadamia ice cream.
We left there and drove to a medieval castle. Sienna had fun walking around the castle and looking at all the medieval things and won a chocolate for finding easter eggs pictures.
We left the castle and looked for a replica of the endeavor ship but only found a small boat which surely was not it so headed north again. While driving I noticed Sienna had fallen asleep in the car so came back to our room. Sienna has been asleep ever since.
At the moment on tv is The Princess Bride so Im watching it until she awakens.
