I thought my Domain Host’s email spam killer wasn’t working.
I was still receiving emails marked successfully with “{spam?}” and “{definitely spam?}” in the subject line but not being deleted. So, I complained. They said it should be working, but if not just make a filter in my mail client to delete anything with those markers in the Subject line. I was not amused but did so anyway.
Last night I thought to test it again just in case it was working better. I changed the setting on the spam graded highly as definitely spam to deliver instead of delete.
Today I had 350 emails. Up until now I was receiving maybe 15 a day. Hmm. Methinks it works 
I set it back to DELETE.
I think the reason I have still been receiving spam emails (the odd 10-20) is that the LOW GRADED spams are still set to Deliver just in case they are False Positives. I will test it for a while and if they are all definitely spam I might just set them to Delete as well.

Found out why when I went to put anti-spam measures back on.
The two settings are: LOW SCORING SPAM and HIGH SCORING SPAM.
If you set LOW to Delete (when HI is already on Delete) it changes LO to Delete and HI to Deliver. If you then set HI to Delete, leaving LO set to Delete, it changes LO to Deliver. You actually have to set both to Delete by clicking on them then hit SAVE for it to work.
Weird.
