hey there waulok - the updated link for Francois Martin is http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=WTRO3OWvymg
I never realised we like so many similar things! When I was in Grade 6 my Dad bought me one of those spring coil kits from Dick Smith, you know the ones with a transistor, morse code key, light globe, battery etc and you connected the spring coils with wires and made up different circuits. From then on I was hooked on all things electronic. I remember I programmed a CAT Computer using BASIC and created my own font/alphabet - ie whatever I typed in was printed out (using a 3 pen plotter) in my own handwriting, which I had painstakingly entered, character by charater! I even created some sort of sprirograph pattern generator using sin/cos functions etc....all this as a 13 year old! Now THATs programming computers - not like the kids today who logon to MSN and think they are shaking the foundations...LOL Thus spoke Slartibartfast :)
