Okay. Instead of just posting lyrics to songs I like to get my visit hits up and Google adwords clicked on I should write something real ;)

If you talk to me on MSN you will know I’m finding a new place to live.  The rent is going up on the one I’m in and I figure it’s time to shift to somewhere closer to the city & my daughter and something of a more managable size for one person.  I looked at several places over the last week instead of going on my holiday trip to visit friends and family down south.

The good news is I found what I determine to be the perfect place. The better news is I was the only one there on inspection day last week.  Better still (best?) it has Air Conditioning units of a decent size in both bedrooms and the lounge.  It also has a dishwasher and front-loading washing machine in the benchtops in the kitchen (no laundry room in the unit).  It doesn’t have a bath but really the only one using the bath here is Sienna.  I’m sure she’ll get over it ;) The unit I’m getting is the only one there without a covered garage. Everyone else has a park under the units but mine is on a concrete slab next to my unit.  The others aren’t lockable anyway, but it’d be nice to put the car out of the elements. *Shrug*  The cost is the same as I’m currently paying for my 4br home but will be much much closer to the city, will have ADSL2+ support, will be closer to Sienna and be less to vacuum.

The other day I took Sienna to see Shrek 3. It’s okay but not as clever as the other ones.  Most of the really funny parts are shown on the advertisements on TV.  It’s lost its edge.  Check out reviews around the place. Not good. Sienna loved it tho.

We had swimming lessons today and Sienna had to really rug up as it’s freezing as.. well not hell but um.. somewhere really really cold? I got her straight into warm clothes as soon as we got out of the place. Dressed her in the car.  She was shivering. It was fine inside as they have a nice heated pool. I could see the steam rising off the kids heads as they finished each swim.

We had a look at another place today but there was about 20 others looking and it wasn’t exactly what I was after… for one thing, no AC!  We came back and stopped at the shops for lunch and I bought Sienna some nice new winter pyjamas.  She chose some cute blue ones with Tweety Bird on them (jealous much, Jo?).  They were all on sale for 25% off today. Sweet!

Dad’s cousin and his wife popped in the other day for a quick visit. They flew up from Newcastle to check out the motor home show.  Unfortunately, their home has been flooded in (roads flooded that is) and Newcastle flights were being redirected to Sydney so I don’t know if they got home yesterday or not.

It has rained a bit here but not a huge amount. It really needs to keep going lots.
