Today I took a leaf from Trejkaz’s book and redirected all my email to GMail.

As he noticed, I also noticed that my Spam Assassin is failing on a large scale, particularly starting this week.  The number of spams getting past has started to climb.  I renamed my old email on the server and will slowly go through and trash most of it over the coming weeks.  Now it’s time to start creating new “Filters” and “Labels” on GMail to sort my emails out.

It wasn’t until I got to work that I realised not all my emails go to waulok@. There are many with other names, but they seem to be getting through. I guess I set up the catch-all to put all emails into the waulok@ account.

The other bonus is my email counts towards my webhosting quota, so if I move the emails to Google’s unlimited GMail I will have that much more space on my website which is currently getting filled up with all these subdomains and other domains I have running from my account.

*nods* I hear you about spam this week - our normally faultless filter is now failing.

Gmail has plus addressing too doesn’t it? :D
