Man goes crazy in cubicle and attacks people. Real or Fake? You decide: http://www.dvorak.org/blog/?p=18332 I tried a new method to get to sleep quicker and stay asleep longer. About half an hour before bed I had a herb tablet called Insomnia-X. It’s a new dual-action Valerian tablet. It has two layers. One layer dissolves quickly to release the herbs fast and get you to sleep fast. The other layer is absorbed over 6 hours so as to keep you asleep. I also had a glass of warm milk and read a book for half an hour before going to sleep. Add in some ear plugs and I slept right through with a really decent night’s sleep. Oh, I also had a rainforest sounds cd playing. I’m going to keep up this ritual. I think it’s a great way to wind down and get my mind off things before sleeping. The book I was reading is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. If you read this blog much you will know it sort of disappeared for a while. It didn’t totally go away, just moved from the front page. I wasn’t doing too well and didn’t want the blog here for some time until I had resolved some issues. As a result, I’ve decided to move back to Sydney. Brisbane isn’t the place for me and I need to get back to my friends and relatives in NSW. It does however mean leaving my daughter behind, but there’s nothing I can do about that. It made me an emotional wreck for a few days, but it’s a decision I had to make. I will miss her terribly and she is already upset that I am going away, but I aim to fly up to visit her as often as I can. Better to have a happy father living far away and visiting sometimes than a miserable, depressed one living nearby and visiting often. I talked to my team leader at work and he tells me there’s a guy in our company in Sydney who wants to transfer to Brisbane. He just has to sell his house and we can swap jobs. I picked up a lot of packing boxes given away on Freecycle on Sunday afternoon, so I will start packing away anything I don’t really need right now. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster and I don’t think it’ll be over for a while, but it’s going to be much better for me in the end. I’ve heard people from time to time meantion the Flight of the Conchords so I decided to check it out. It’s not too bad. This one is probably the most amusing I’ve seen so far. Probably the end bit is where it starts getting even more amusing… And another good one. Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros Sienna has been sick lately so I’ve taken a couple of days off work to look after her. I bought the Wii game "Catz" from Electronics Boutique (EB Games) since they have their half-yearly sale on and it was half price. We’ve been playing it quite a lot the last couple of days. Today was mostly a ‘Catz’ day.

Last Sunday the Zombie Walk Brisbane was on. We drove into the city and followed the gathering weirdos with paint and costumes on. I took some movies (check on YouTube) and some photos (check my Flickr) of the people walking around. We started at Roma Parkland and made our way down through the King George Square and along Adelaide st. The masses were heading for the Valley but by the time we walked to Broadway Sienna had had enough. We went to Hungry Jacks and picked up an ice cream each and a bottle of water. Once we’d settled down we headed for the car. Sienna wanted to find the ‘monsters’ again so we drove to Fortitude Valley and circled around the park they had all stopped in. She wanted to park the car and go see them so I found a spot but wasn’t sure if I should park there. We got out and I looked at the windscreen of the car behind me which had a ticket on it saying "Infringement Notice". We quickly jumped back into the car and headed off home. It was a nice day out anyway and after being unsure about the scary people at first, Sienna soon warmed up to them, particularly since she was on my shoulders most of the way, so I guess she felt much safer.

Gabriella Cilmi Lyrics Sweet About Me Ooh watching me, hanging by a string this time. If there’s lessons to be learned. If there’s lessons to be learned. Chorus Blue, blue, blue, waves they crash. If there’s lessons to be learned. If there’s lessons to be learned. Chorus Sweet about me, nothing sweet about me .. yeah My application for an account at Orgoo was finally authorised. Let me know if you want to join up too.
Looks funky. If it keeps me online better than Meebo I might be convinced to change. For some reason Meebo keeps logging me out for no reason. Orgoo works with all the major stuff: MSN, YIM, AIM, ICQ, GTalk. You can also add your email accounts to check: GMail, POP accounts, IMAP accounts, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, .MAC, etc. You can also send SMS’s. Manage all your communications with one easy interface Waiting to listen to Tech Talk Radio live streaming: http://www.techtalkradio.com.au/stream.asp Epic says the Wii doesn’t have the power to do decent graphics using a 3D engine.. so High Voltage Studios set out to prove them wrong.
My bathroom light switch keeps biting me! I think I need Alex Trishan! I wonder if the new iPhone would more have aGps instead of built in. 3g yes. VC maybe not. 2 cams yes. Wish it were 5mpx. N96 does & is more useful to me. Oh noes! Teh Twitters is down! Well, at least you get a real post instead of a ‘tweet’ for a change hehe I didn’t get much sleep last night. Went to bed about 11:30pm and woke at 4:45am. Not sure what time I drifted off again but wasn’t feeling up to going to work today. Only two more days until I get to pick up Sienna again! YAY! It’s her birthday next month on 19th June so I’m buying her a Nintendo Wii (I don’t care that Nintendo says it’s not a ‘Nintendo Wii’ it’s just a ‘Wii’. They made it!) GameTraders at Upper Mount Gravatt have the Wii plus Sports Pack plus they are throwing in the blue-light Powerwave Docking Station which recharges the controller, for free. I’m also getting the $50 USB to RJ45 ethernet cable so I can plug the Wii into my ADSL modem via Cat5. You can play the Wii online against friends if you add in their Friend Code. Apparently it annoys people because it’s like 16 digits long and you have to point and click on numbers on the screen since there’s no other way to enter the codes. You can also play games against random people around the world or just in your region. The legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess It’d be handy if there were some way to put my IGN.Com game wishlist on my blog for all to see. Wonder if it’d be possible to make a plugin for WordPress The Powerwave Docking Station:
I was reading in the newspaper articles that the Dark Knight action figure is so Mattel has stopped manufacturing them and they will become a valuable collectable item due to the short run. "Instead Mattel have "hastily thrown together" a "friendlier" version they can sell to children." Reminds me of Bart Simpson when Homer made him a clown bed. "Can’t sleep! Clown will eat me!". Trailer of Speed Racer by the Wachowski Brothers. Check out this game. It was created totally in GameMaker. It has brilliant animations, some really cool humour, lovely sound effects, animated cut scenes.. THE WORKS! Here’s a screenshot I borrowed from the website: Click for a bigger view. This is the velociraptor you move around in the game. He can: walk, run, jump, backflip, climb walls, duck, crawl, swim, bite, tailwhip, pounce, ground-slam and carry objects. The animation is very smooth and very well done. It has some particle effects and even water splashes up and animates ripples on the surface if he walks in it. You can download a demo version from the Sixty Five Million and One BC website and then pay US$20 for the full game and play all 35 large levels! I noticed some people on the internet (such as I) wanted a copy of the new theme music from the Futurama movie “Bender’s Big Score”, so I’ve sampled it and made it into an AAC file. Why AAC? Cos it beats the heck out of MP3 for quality and size and nicely works on my Sony Ericsson K800i mobile phone as a Ringtone and in iTunes natively. So, here it is. Download now: Bender’s Big Score theme in AAC.

Grab your design on any merchandise on my Aquotik Designs CafePress shop page today! Last night I dropped Sienna home and headed to The Tivoli. It’s a club in Fortitude Valley. The supporting band was Tycho Brahe. They really rocked the place with some really cool songs. A couple I hadn’t heard before. I took some photos with my K800i. I will upload them to my Flickr account later. After that the main act came on, John Foxx who created the band Ultravox. He started off at 8:30pm with an artistic show he created. He had a lot of film snips from people around the world and had written pieces of esoteric experimental music. It was okay at the start but by 9:10pm it seemed more like the Blair Witch Project to Electronic music. I headed off home. I’d already had a really big day with Sienna and our cousins at the beach so was exhausted. I got home and went to bed and fell asleep almost straight away. I got an SMS this morning which Mil sent about 10:30pm last night saying I left too soon and John was really rocking the joint. Ah well. I was mostly there to see Tycho Brahe anyway This morning I woke at 7:15am when someone in the apartment block was knocking on a door nearby. I had a shower and went to the local IGN store which is about the only shop open today. I picked up some milk and eggs to make breakfast. Currently I’m just watching some crappy episodes of The Family Guy season six. Yesterday morning I took Sienna to swimming lessons. She had a fun time. We only just made it. After that we went to the Post Office and picked up a couple of packages from Nonna and Poppy. Sienna wanted to go to the Gold Coast shops at Pacific Fair so we drove down and got some lunch. She had a McDonalds Happy Meal and I had an Oporto Bondi Meal. Then we hopped on the little train and went around the shops. After that she jumped on the kids car and drove around the track with another little girl. They raced around the track chasing each other. It was very cute. We went into the Intencity Amusement centre and played lots of games and won tickets. We traded in the tickets for Fantale’s chocolates. We went back to the car track and Sienna played in the playground in the center for a while. We got some icecreams and drove to the Markets. Sienna went on the airplane ride. I told the guy to put it on the fastest setting because Sienna is a daredevil. She loved it! We went for a walk around because Sienna didn’t want to leave yet. We found a Pink Shop and she found some hairbands and clips and lip gloss etc in a pack. So we went to the ATM and got out some money and she bought it. She has been having fun playing with all the stuff. It also has envelopes and stickers. Today we are going to visit my cousin and Aunt and Sienna can catch up with my cousin’s daughters. They all get along really well.
