Paulo Coelho, the best-selling author of “The Alchemist”, is using BitTorrent and other filesharing networks as a way to promote his books. His publishers weren’t too keen on giving away free copies of his books, so he’s taken matters into his own hands.

So is Coelho just seeding torrents of his books? That’s just the beginning. He took it one step further and, as quoted above, set up a Wordpress blog, Pirate Coelho, where he posts links to free copies of his books on filesharing networks, FTP sites, and so on. He says it had a direct impact on sales:

Britney thought she might have a chance at getting the kids back. She went to the court room. Turned around and went back outside.

She used to be indecisive but now she’s just not sure.

Britney was in the building, but never made it to the courtroom. When the Commish asked her attorney if she was coming back, she answered “I don’t know whether she’ll be here or not,” adding, “I don’t want to delay the hearing.”

News reports now say the police found a $20 note with white powder on it folded in a way as to take drugs up the nose.

“Cops in New York say the rolled-up $20 bill did not appear to have any drug residue on it — but they are in the process of testing it.

TMZ has confirmed with NYPD sources in the Heath Ledger investigation that cops found a $20 bill rolled up “in a certain way” with a powdered substance on it. Our sources say they don’t know what the nature of the powder is, but it’s being tested at the police lab.

CBS 2 in NYC is reporting cops found drug packets along with the $20 bill in Ledger’s apartment.”

Drugs are bad, mmkay?

The 28-year-old Perth-born actor’s body was found in his apartment in New York.

The New York Post said his apartment was strewn with pills, adding that it was unclear whether the death was intentional.

The celebrity website TMZ said Ledger was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3.35pm New York time (7.35am AEDT).

According to the Associated Press, Ledger’s body was discovered by his housekeeper who came to tell him his masseuse had arrived for an appointment.
