The planet Xolnoz has created a new fusion system which requires energy taken from distant stars.
As crack pilot Qoznar, you have been summoned before the Xolnoz Galactic Council to collect the much needed energy.
The planet is fast running out of energy resources so you will have to be quick!
You bid your family “Goodbye” and jump into your R1900 Stellar-Space ship and head for the stars!
Unfortunately the stars with the best energy charges are in the middle of a highly dangerous asteroid field. Your elite piloting skills allow you to boldly take on the mission and you artfully dodge all the asteroids to collect the much-needed star-energy.
At first the mission seems a doddle. You fly out into space easily missing the few asteroids and collecting the energy from many stars. But you soon realise that the further out to space you go the less stars there are and the more asteroids there are! It’s getting very dangerous!
As time goes on you slowly run out of fuel, but luckily for you there’s plenty to be found out in the far reaches of space and you collect enough to continue.
Your R1900 Stellar-Space ship is equipped with the ability to create a strong forcefield around your ship. If you can only find a Shields Orb or two you know you can give those darn asteroids a good BUMP and push them out of orbit.
Even further out in space you discover the mythical Black-holes. You thought they were just stories to scare noob pilots. They threaten to suck your spaceship in and cause you to lose total control of your R1900
Stellar-Space ship! If you are not careful you may hit a stray asteroid while trapped helplessly inside a Black-hole.
You begin to record your Last Will and Testament and a sad Farewell to your loving family when all of a sudden the Black-hole releases you from its grip and you speed off in search of more stars.
How to play
Asteroid Attack is a fun, entertaining kids game written by Jason Oakley, where you fly a spaceship through an asteroid field out in space.
At the bottom of the screen is your Heads-Up display with vital information.
On the left is your current score. Next to that is your Level. To the right are your Fuel and Shields levels.
Use the arrow keys to move.
Catch the stars for points and avoid the asteroids.
At a certain level shields become available.
Pick up the shields orb to charge up your shields.
When the shields are running low a ticking sound will be heard.
When they have run out you will hear a noise and they will fade out.
Activated shields will make asteroids bounce off your ship.
Make sure you pick up extra fuel.
When you are running low a gas tank will appear to pick up.
Get it to fuel up your tank!
Watch out for the Black-holes as they will suck you in.
